Answer given initially in the forum was to create another container table to contain the two other tables!

| 2nd row | Column 2, 2nd Row |

| 2nd row | Column 2, 2nd Row |
This method simply sets align="left" on the first table. Although it is preferable to use CSS to float the table.
Additional Test... nowrap attribute in <td> (deprecated - loose DTD) and test resizing.
