Removing the SPACE around a checkbox?

How do you remove the space around a checkbox? Is it possible?

Checkboxes have a left and right margin by default in FF and IE - remove it with CSS. FF also has a default bottom margin. Opera also has some 'space', but no left or right margins (and no padding). You can 'fudge' Opera by setting a width, but that will cause problems cross-browser.
